From the depths of The Sims 2 archives...

I often (and I'm sure many others do too) get asked to share the houses my sims are living in. But the problem? I have sims living in the houses so I can't share them! Not particularly wanting to move the sims out and then back in again, I went hunting for a solution and FOUND one in the bowels of thesims2, (from 2005!) which I thought would be useful for EVERYONE here at PT to also take advantage of:

Ever make the perfect lot, but moved Sims in before putting it in your Lot Catalog?

Particularly useful I think if you've been playing a house, modifying it as you go for maximum playability and then would like to share it. And also means you've got infinite copies to gut it to make it CC free if you prefer to share it that way.

Have fun! And looking forward to see a rush on shared houses here at pixel_trade *winkwink*

Edit: An addendum from skorpioni5: Please ensure before you do this that you put all graves, unfinished easel paintings, homework, meals and the like into one of the resident sim's inventories before you do this method. Otherwise your houses will crash or leave behind legacy dead sim information (in the case of graves/urns). If in doubt, inventory! ^_^
