Pixel_Trade Rule Clarifications

May 21, 2010 15:31

It has come to our attention that some of our members have gotten a bit muddled about one of the points of, & rules of, this community.

Pixel_trade is about sharing your sims & using other people's sims in your game instead of your own.

From the community rules page:

# All non born in game sims in your main challenge/story should be from a member of pixel_trade. This isn't to say that you can't have regular townies hanging out in the neighborhood, but they should not marry in/become main characters.

We know you're members. You're posting here & taking part, & in some cases are sharing sims too. So by "a member of pixel_trade", we are not including you when it comes to the definition of the eligible sims in your personal game. Because we've already stated "not born in game", we've been expecting you to realise that members meant, "other members."

The only exception to the above is founders. You are welcome to use your own founder in a pixel_trade legacy unless the challenge you are taking part in has a specific founder - such as the Viking Death Squad Legacy (VDSL).

In the VDSL rules,

All spouses must be pixel_trade sims; maximum of two sims per creator. Any and all heirs MUST be a result of a pixel_trade union. Childen via pixel_trade member-made ideal plantsim replacements and multi-pollination techs are allowed. No maxis.

In saying 'pixel_trade sims' we are refering to the main pixel_trade community rules of 'born/made in someone else's game'.

This includes ideal plantsims & polination technicians. For example, brilliantcat cannot make children derived from her own Polly-Tech into heirs, however if she has racetrackd's Polly-Tech installed, they can be.

So to sum up:

Sims born/made in your game are not eligible to breed heirs in your game.
