You can use clean installer to pull up your whole DL folder and hunt down this little blight?

(sorry, it's been so long since I've played with any sim stuff I don't remember the finer points of clean installer)

(if you need me to repack any of my stuff, just give a yell)

No, no. ;) When you download sims, the file will show up on their list of CC that the sim comes with.

You can use Delphy's Download Organizer to bring up your folder and nuke it.

I don't even have any idea how to find out if I've been spreading this thing.

(It's a Sims STD! Teach our teens and YAs Safe Woohoo!)

Use the Clean Installer (http://sims2pack.modthesims2.com/) to install a sim (or open up a sims2pack of your packaged sim) and check to see if the file shows up on the list of CC that pops up.

Darn. Unfortunately it's still several weeks before I can do that, then, because I'm away from my Clean Installer/game.

If you link me to the sims you've uploaded, I can check them for you. (: I can't check your game for you, but I can at least do that.

I'll have a check for that file, I've heard of it before, but never really understood - is the file's purpose to just cling onto files or something?

I'm not sure about other purposes, but what it does is attach itself to -every single sim- that you package. It has other adverse effects, I believe, but I can't remember them. xD

You can also find it in Delphy's Download Organizer, and I'm pretty sure I found it by searching rsl-browcombed, etc. :)
