I'm glad it worked for you in terms of canon. I was debating for a while who should stay and who should go. In the earlier seasons, I might have flipped the characters around, but I think recent developments in the show have indicated that Dean would be the one wanting a "normal" life compared to Sam wanting to get "back in the game," per se. So. Yes. Very happy it rang true for you. :)

Not sure why, but this story brought tears to my eyes. Dean and his Sammy no longer earth-bound, finally some peace and happiness in their lives and beautiful surroundings to get lost in. I just had a moment where Sam wasn't there and I think I wanted them to be together for EVERYTHING. To me, this story pinged some melancholy feelings in my heart. It was truly lovely.
