Very nice. This is one of my favorite post-"Dead Man's Blood" fics so far.

I'm glad that Dean was able to retain enough of his humanity to kill the vamps and make protecting Sam and John his mission in this new "life".

I was going to write a fic with evil Vampire Dean, but it just wasn't working, so I had to go with Dean protecting Sam and John. It just worked so much better that way. :)

Oh dude, the Vampire Dean in the long black coat? Mmm, yeah. I don't know who suggested it, allstar12 or me, but it'd be like Keanu Reeves in the Matrix with his long, black coat. Only, it'd be Dean. Which, is of course, ten times better.

I think the AU of Vampire Dean is getting to me because I have an unnatural love for him now...*grins*
