Nervous jitters or it just too much coffee

So tomorrow is another morning at the dentist's office and I'm a tad bit nervous. I still find dentists freak me out; however I have learned to suck it up and let them do what they have to do. I've been hunting for podcasts to listen to while my dentist works on my teeth and I think that I've found a few that will engage me enough that I will be ( Read more... )

I badly need to go to the dentist but I don't have dental insurance so I am kind of squeamish about the cost.

That sucks hon. I've been there and that's why I'm having to go so often. It has been about 9 or so years since I could afford to go to the dentist. I always put Lil' Pix3l's dental needs first. It's sad that dental costs are subsidized, there are definately a necessity. Prices up here in Canada are probably much better then where you live as well. I hope that you are able to find a way to get what you need done, maybe there is a good dental school near you that would have lower prices for the work you need done.

You should go and download some of that Podio book Nina Kimberly The Merciless. Its linked on my main page, cool stuff! And I have some others up there as well, but I don't know if you'll find them that interesting. lol Hope the dentist trip goes well, or at least you can stand it.

Lol, I was able to stand the dentist's appointment. I'm glad I have only one more appoinment *crosses fingers* till I only have to go for maintence every 6 months.

Thanks I'll check out the podcasts. I ended up listening to a few knitting podcasts, Mother Jones Magazine podcast and Grammar girl's newest one. They helped a lot; however my earbuds kept falling out because of all the drilling and stuff.

Oh yeah, I like Grammar girl. She's pretty nice, we've actually exchanged a few e-mails.

Last time I went to the dentist, they did something that made tears stream down my face! I wasn't crying, but I had a hard time convincing them that I wasn't. I don't know what was going on. lol

I basically only listen to podcasts from NPR. I used to listen to podcasts about ferrets, but most of the people came off as idiots.
