Darn it I'm late GUNG HAY FAT CHOY!!! Happy Chinese New Year to you all, it's the year of the pig. My two of my brothers are pigs and my dad was a pig, so here's to a good new year. Due to the fact that I'm a 4th gen CBC (Canadian Born Chinese) on my mom's side we don't really celebrate a traditional new years. I am lucky that we do a lot of visiting relatives, eat tasty food and give or receive red packets.
Mr. Pix3l left yesterday for his business trip to India and China, so needless to say I didn't sleep much or well last night. So I should go and make myself a gigantic cup of coffee to keep awake because I can't go to bed yet it's only 6:30 p.m. Lil' Pix3l would take advantage of the fact that I would be asleep before her and stay up all night and it's much better that I be the one who isn't sleeping then her.
I have an ultrasound tomorrow because my doctor is worried that my thyroid is larger that it should be even though the last blood test came out okay. Then it's off to the TB clinic to get injected for my TB skin test. *sigh* more medical stuff for my guide dog application. I also get to wait in the extremely overwhelming large line to apply for passports because I put it off and now the lines are even worse, the security guard in the Vancouver office told me people are waiting in line as early as 4 a.m.! Gosh people the office opens at 7 a.m. give us non-morning people a chance to actually get to wait in line, the last time I went I got there around 11 a.m. and was told I won't make it in that day!!! So sometime with next week I have to call my m-in-law and get her to drive me to the passport office really frackin' early in the morning, did I mention I hate mornings. Well I'll have to get used to it because if I get into the guide dog school I'll be waking up around 6:30 a.m. in the morning! I have to keep telling myself that having a dog with so worth all this torture.
