Harvest moon will rise on October 6th and will cast its light turning everything you look at to black and white unless you look for a long time causing a blueshift (easier to see away from city lights, just like stars) this is called the Purkinje shift. There is a moon festival here on the 7th that I'm thinking on dragging taking my family to. The theme is Reflections on the Water, oh how I love water and the picturesque reflections of the naked beauty of untouched islands along Vancouver Island as well as the sunset and sunrise plays with it. I really miss sailing and being on the water in the middle of the isles here where there are no inhabited islands for miles if you are lucky. The festival will be a great place for me to play with my camera and it's wonderful night options.
