Trying to stick to goals

Jan 23, 2007 22:39

So I've been a bit okay really lazy about trying to lose all this access flab that I have acquired in the last year or so, but today I put my foot down and did a 20 minute pilates workout. I have to say I really miss pilates and how it makes me feel especially the results of a month or two of working out in a regular basis, so I'm going to keep doing a 20 minute set at least 3 times a week. I'm a little worried that due to my unhealthy weight that I may not get a guide dog, so I got to get my butt into gear. I have endurance, but not as much as I used to when I was practising tai chi and pilates every week. In guide dog news, I have a O&M (orientation and mobility) session tomorrow with my trainer from the CNIB to do some cane work so she can fill out the forms that were sent to her. I really like my trainer and the really neat thing is that she is also going to be helping Lil' Pix3l with some O&M training (CNIB has a partnership with our local school board) and has already meet her. Since Lil' Pix3l, how is also known as mini-me is basically a clone of me, it wasn't hard to figure out that she was my daughter. I have to also reschedule my appointment with my GP for my physical exam for my application as well.

Wow, I have finished 12 almost 13 books this year so far! I'm on track for my goal of 104 books (2 books per week) for the year. It helps that when I knit I listen to audiobooks, so I don't lose any valuable reading time :-D I finished P.C. Cast's Divine by Mistake recently and can't wait till I get the next book in the mail. Also I listened to Charlaine Harris' Gravesight and it was great fluff listening/reading and I hope to find more of her Harper Connelly books on audiobook soon. Oooo also Thud! is bloody fantastic I've laughed out loud so much that it has given my abs a bit of a workout, I always highly recommend any of Terry Pratchett's book. Well off to read because I'm being kicked off the computer, ciao.
