Finally today I learned how to purl and actually got the hang of it!! So I have started my ribbed scarf that needs to be completed by next weeks class (my last one) because we are learning how to cast off and finish a knitted piece. I decided to think small and the scarf I'm making is going to be for Princess Lil' Pix3l's stuffed bear. She loves her bear a lot and she made it herself at Build-a-Bear for her 11 birthday last year from her grandma (my mom). I'm trying to get Lil' Pix3l to pick up a crochet hook or a knitting needle so she can make clothes for her beloved bear instead of asking for the over-priced clothes from the B-a-B store. She can sew and make easy patterns, yet doesn't want to create clothes. She loves drawing, beading, sculpting, painting and colouring so I'm hoping to eventually help her add a fiber art to crafty skills.
It's really cold here and due to snow any day now. BRRRRR. I was hoping that we'd get the fence up before this happened, but it looks like that may not happen because snow is predicted for tomorrow and the day after. Time to get the handy boots out :-D Well it's late and I have a early dentist appointment tomorrow morning, so this will be another short post. Yay, my last filling appointment!!!!!
