Feels good inside.
1. We have a place to live in St. Louis! It's a cute little house apartment in U City, near Washington University and the Loop. Squee! It has beautiful hardwood floors, a screened in porch, formal dining room, and lots of closet space. We have room to set up an office and everything. So exciting! Alison also was offered a job, which starts July 7th (!!!) so we're actually moving up our stuff (mostly hers) on the 5th...so a little less than 2 weeks from now. Scary, huh? I'll be finishing up my last few weeks with VISTA, going to Rachel's wedding, and then moving in myself around the 5th of August. Gah!
2. Speaking of VISTA, 2 of the new vistas started today. And hmmm. I should not have to teach them how to use the copier, fax, etc. Isn't there a VISTA supervisor for that? Tomorrow I get to go over their assignment descriptions (or VADs) with them and help them get started on their first few big projects. I was actually feeling really happy this morning, that today wasn't my first day. And that I wasn't all nervous for a new job, etc. Hahaha. Poor newbie VISTAs. Have fun with that; I am so peacing out.
3. So Sparks Plus competed in the Xtreme Team Trivia championship last night. Well, I'm not $1,000 richer, but we did come in 18th place, out of 78 teams. So that's not bad, right? It was a good time; we met lots of interesting characters, including Luke who willingly shared with us that he has a micro-penis. Weird. The next 10-round competition starts this weekend, if anyone's up for it.
