a massive update!
Here's what's new in my life:
1. Even though she's coming to KC in September...Melissa Etheridge! August 11th in St. Louis. Jigga what?! Guess I'll be living in St. Louis soon and will have to start planning accordingly. :)
2. Work is a craphole. I'm so sick of being disrespected and taken advantage of. The staff here is corrupt and mean. People need to start doing their jobs, I'm sorry. At least things are semi decent with Derek (my boss) these days. We've been spending a lot of time together lately. We've trekked it to Missie B's a couple of times (fags and drags, baby) and saw a movie this past weekend. He even came over for round of Rock Band.
3. Speaking of Rock Band...hello Jesus! Greatest invention ever. Wish my PS2 wasn't so craptastic, but whatevs. At least I can still jam out.
4. School....I register for classes in like 2 weeks. I'm a wee bit nervous about that, but excited. I'm excited about the whole transition to St. Louis. Alison and I have a wonderful little plan for our furniture...and we're keeping my color scheme for the kitchen/living room. And that makes me happy. I've commissioned a huge ass painting from Jenk to go over the couch, so that's happiness. We've found at least 2 places that we want to see/tour/visit during our little "Let's Find an Apartment" Weekend in June. It's all shaping up! Wish I wasn't so effing broke!
5. Jessica is *hopefully* coming to visit me this weekend. Yay for Wellesley reunions! I miss my girls way too much for words. I've got a wonderful itinerary full of exciting adventures. Let's hope the weather is still nice.
6. I'm in love. With a puppy. We named him Derek...because he was a little slow on the uptake. But a cutie. Much like Derek. I wanted to buy him. But I have no money. Or time to take care of a puppy really.
7. I have a woman crush on Tina Fey.
8. There's a slight possibility that I'll get to stay at the YMCA through the end of July, as opposed to the beginning of July. WHAT?! But Hales...you hate that place! Yes, it's true. However...it's possible that if I stay for a few extra weeks, they'll be able to give me a fat (FAT) stipend. How hot would that be? MMM! Smells like cash!
9. Rachel is getting married in August and apparently I'm a bridesmaid. Flying to San Fransisco just sounds expensive. Always a bridesmaid, never a bride. Sooooooo true.
