orange and blue
First real sunset in a long time, maybe it was sweeter because of the lack of them lately. Water all blue and sturdy, steadfast in its resolve to keep the horizon arrow straight, and not succumb to the whims to the colored sky. All oranges and greens, some pink and gold, swishing and splashing, wading over each other, discontent and full of wanderlust.
So strange to watch the sun slip away, one short cigarette break between full solar glory, and the delicate dip past the eye of the coast and towards other, more westerly faces to dapple its glow upon. The moon smiles down with her cheshire grin, ensuring that she will watch over us all until the sun returns tomorrow.
I've missed you sunset, but I miss the rain already as well. I feel meteorologically torn.
