I've recently had this fascination with
Mr. Immortal, a Marvel superhero from the Great Lakes Avengers (yes, they exist). It's not really so much his power that I like, even though I find his list of "deaths" funny sometimes, but rather his feelings toward his own power, and what other emotions it brings. Namely the depressing ones.
Does that make me weird?
Anyway, Mr. Immortal's power, obviously, is immortality. No matter how many times he dies or tries to kill himself, he ends up coming back to life. In my opinion, in the long run, that type of invincibility doesn't sound very fun. I wouldn't want that power.
It was
this comic book cover that really made me think about this superhero more. It was very depressing, but in a way, extremely captivating, and it sort of inspired me to write a poem about it. Yes, a poem. How emo is that? D:
