Late in jumping onto the bandwagon.

So I finally--finally!--began watching Avatar: The Last Airbender the other day, and while I'm only halfway through Book One, I already had a number of observations:

• It's so obviously Asian it's not even funny (WTF, Hollywood);
• the dialogue isn't too cheesy;
• IMO, it's one of the better American cartoons to come out in recent years;
• at that, smarter and more mature than many youth shows I've seen nowadays (and they say the word "death" in this cartoon, LOLOMG);
• the characters aren't cardboard cutouts.

Now back to my marathon-ing.
