Can anyone recommend a great vet? My cats don't do very well with going to the vet. I haven't taken Loki to one since he fell out the 3rd story window a few years ago and the so- called doctor was spastic, and afraid of cats. She also scared me into spending a gazillion dollars on unnecessary tests, etc. I think I remember going to a good matter of fact one in Rogers park when we first got them.

I have to do a ton of work to get the kitties ready for a transatlantic trip. This includes getting them microchiped, vaccinated, tested for a million things, etc. The sad part is that although quarantine is no longer required; they might end up in cages for a while because they can't go into the UK until a blood test is given six months after their rabies vaccine to make sure they are clear. So they will have to go into the UK and then sit for a couple of months. That means I need to take care of all this as soon as I can. I'm so glad they have each other since it looks like they might be able to share a space.

Some people might think it's crazy to take them, but it would be too difficult to leave them. Maybe if I knew someone who would want them I could do it, but most likely not. They improve the quality of our lives so much, and make us happy just by being their furry little selves.

I'm kind of heart-broken about having to leave my plants behind. I know it's a bit silly but I've had some of them for as long as ten years, and know where each one came from. Many were gifts. In any case is there anyone who might be interested in taking them for a year or two? Maybe if a handful of people take two or three? I have some non-lj peeps who might be interested but who knows. And no pressure, plants are plants and sometimes they die.

Wow, this whole "moving to London" thing is awesome but pretty overwhelming. I guess I'm not really meant to live in one country for super too long. Every time I've moved to a different part of the world I've left many things behind never to see them again. This should be different since its not permanent by any means. Also it's the first time I've made such a move as an adult.
