OK. I'm going to try and get back into the habit of posting here more often. I'll try to make time for this even though I'm ohh so very busy. Apologies if you end up seeing stuff twice as I will also post the same things on FB sometimes. I'll try be more detailed here.
I took some photos of some simple single layer corsets during the making process. These don't have the boning inserted yet and are made of soft coutil so they are a bit floppy at the moment. The are also pre-cleaning up, so any loose threads, and loose ends have not been snipped yet.
A single layer coutil overbust corset with interior boning channels:
I take pride in the interior construction of my corsets. I want them to be beautiful on the inside! I am also very particular about my patterns. The must be true and perfect before I assemble a corset and any changes in the mock up are marked in the pattern.
I am a stickler for making sure that everything is matching and perfect, no cheating by assembling a bunch a messy patterns and shaping by cutting off the bottom after. That's how you end up with wobbly corsets that don't match from one side to the other.
And a bad snap shot of the front of these.
These are just meant to be worn as underwear so are quite boring but you can see the details.
