I just purchased the most amazing antique lace! I'm soooo excited about this one! I also have that slightly sick to my stomach feeling I get when I spend a huge amount of money on something. It is for specific commission but I had to buy a lot more than needed for it so I will have a lot left other for other corsets and things.
EDIT:
As
ravenrigan has demanded details I'll provide what I have from the listing:
"This truly amazing late 1800's chantilly lace is in impeccable condition. Most of the lace is still hand tacked to its' original muslin backing. It has a delicate alternating scroll design, accented by small floral clusters along the edge. "
I purchased it on etsy after eying it for weeks and looking out for more in various online venues but failing for find anything quite as interesting. I hope it is in good condition after asking for advice on lace purchasing from
doc__holliday I asked the seller some questions and went for it.
After I purchased it the lady who sold it to me told me she had actually purchased it for her own wedding gown but ended up finding a vintage Givenchy instead. I get all shaky thinking about how much it cost...
