So on Monday, I'm supposed to go in for a drug test and backround check for my new job at Michael C. Fina. And on Wednesday, I have new employee orientation. I have no idea how long it will last. Which means I will most likely catch a late bus home for Thanksgiving. And I need to be back in time to start work on Monday.
One problem: I'm supposed to have my second interview at the NYPL on the Monday after Thanksgiving. I can't exactly walk in at MCF at 8, say "I need to go to the Bronx for the morning," interview at the NYPL, and then come back to MCF. I could probably ask if I can start on Tuesday, but I need to know exactly what the NYPL is willing to give me. If it's a) less than what MCF is giving and b) not full-time, it's not worth my time to try to make sure I can get my arse over there.
Either way, I'm holding out hope for the Columbia gig. To be a graphic and web designer for an Ivy League school? Yeah, that would be sweet.
