Exactly. And that's what the expression is supposed to be. Shit is waste- excess. Useless. I could really give a shit. Meaning that I could really care less. Unless you're saying that shit is "good". But that's not what I think shit is.

but saying "i could really care less" is wrong too. You should say "I couldn't care less", meaning that you are the thing I care least about in the world. saying "i could really care less" means that you care about the person more than other things.
