Local Industrial on 105.9 The X Tonight!

Dec 04, 2009 16:10

Just got the news:

105.9 WXDX Pittsburgh will be spinning the song Monster In Me by Wreckcreation for their Local Listen segment tonight (Dec. 4th 2009) sometime between 9 and 10 PM. This marks the third time (that we're aware of) that Wreckcreation has been played on a mainstream terrestrial radio station.

This delights us as you don't hear much industrial rock (let alone unsigned bands) on these types of channels. As such we are asking all of our online and real life friends and fans to send an e-mail to or call up the station and tell them how much you enjoy it.

As a bonus for you all we have a couple tracks, including Monster In Me, available for free download at http://www.wxdx.com/new2/artists/i/251106

Electronic Saviors: Industrial Music to Cure Cancer

In other news Wreckcreation is proud to announce that a special remix of Incomplete Me (personally my favorite song off the album) will appear exclusively on the Industrial Saviors: Industrial Music to Cure Cancer box set as the first track on the digital disc 5 on Metropolis Records.

For those of you living under a rock, the Industrial Saviors compilation is the brainchild of Rein[Forced] frontman (and local G/I deejay) Jim Semonik. In May 2008 Jim was diagnosed with cancer. Through the chemo, surgery, and recovery process he not only kept a fantastic attitude but has continued to put on and produce industrial concerts and events in the Pittsburgh area, and helping bands like Wreckcreation.

From the Metropolis website:
"Cancer has taken many loved ones away from us. Metropolis Records, in association with Distortion Productions presents a five disc box set of exclusive tracks by some of the biggest names in the industrial genre to raise money for cancer research. Cancer survivor and long time promoter and DJ, Jim Semonik has assembled 83 artsits from around the world. The boxset includes 4 cds and a downloadable 5th disc when you purchase the physical edition.

This compilation contains 83 tracks in total, including new exclusive tracks and mixes by Combichrist, 16 Volt, Assemblage 23, Suicide Commando, Noisuf-X, Chemlab, Cesium 137, Stromkern, Imperative Reaction, Rein[Forced], System Syn and many more. Packaged in a DVD style digipak containing the four physical CDs and the dropcard for the “Bonus Medication” disc 5 digital download. Proceeds will be donated to the Foundation for Cancer Research and Wellness

-Limited Edition of 2500 copies."

As you can see, this compilation is huge, its for a great cause and its been orchestrated by a great friend and human being. Further info on how to obtain this box set can be found in the links below.

Thank you all for your support and we can't wait to see you guys live in 2010!
