Wi-Fi

Does anyone know of coffee-shops or that sort of place that offer free wireless internet to their customers? A friend of mine in another state told me their dunkin donuts does this....but (a) I don't know of any near squirell hill/oakland/waterfront area (which is closest to me) and (b) I'd rather just be in a coffee shop. Apologies if I'm repetitious.

The Squirrel Hill's Carnegie Library (at intersection of Forbes and Murray) also has free wi-fi.

It's true that the Sq. Hill Panera's wi-fi often doesn't work. 61c Cafe is great though (it plays good music), and...there's another free wi-fi cafe that's more tea oriented further down in Murray but I've forgotten the name.

Silky's, the bar on the intersection of Darlington and Murray, also has free wi-fi. It closes at 2am.

The squill library wireless seems to have been downgraded from "just works" to "only port 80 (i.e. web stuff) works, and only if you use their proxy, and only certain sites are allowed"

are these same restrictions on the wifi at the main branch of the library?

I think I noticed a wireless network while at the main branch which failed to work in the same way that the squill branch did when the proxy settings weren't set right, so it's entirely possible they are the same.
