Obvious answer: Because it's Pittsburgh water. Duh.
Actual answer: I've been hearing from lots of people who work in my building about there being a water main break on Washington Avenue due to the storm and the water's been contaminated. This has been further corroborated by the fact that all of the water in the faucets and toilets in the building where I work is kinda funky and brown-ish.
For all I know, it might all be taken care of now... No clue. The water looked less brown when I went to wash my hands earlier but I don't know if that means it's actually safe or just, well, less brown.
Hmm... Must just be my area of Oakland? I work across the street from the Cathedral. Well, in either case, the water should be fine at home, so I'll just wait and chug myself silly later.
