any self-storage places that offer shipping?
We're planning a cross-country move, and while we're getting rid of all our furniture later this summer, we're keeping a few boxes worth of things which we'll want to take with us. Ideally, I plan to truck these boxes down to my in-laws in Virginia, where the boxes can chill out in their garage while we apartment hunt thousands of miles away. I say ideally because when it's time, I could just call up my in-laws and give them an address to ship the boxes to.
As an alternate plan, I'm interested in potential options here in Pittsburgh. I've never used self-storage before so I don't know if this is even a feature that's common in the industry or not, but here goes...does anyone know of a self-storage place in the Pittsburgh area that would be willing to close out an account remotely (say over the phone or by e-mail) and ship out the contents of a unit to a desired address?
