I used to swim regularly before I moved to Pittsburgh, and tried to get into it more when I joined the downtown Y. But when the Y moved, and shrunk the size of their pool, I hated going there and let my membership expire. I hate, hate, hate lane sharing because I'm not a fast swimmer, and it just was infuriating.
Are there any decently priced indoor pools that are not super crowded after 5:30 p.m. or so? Dedicated lap swimming is a necessity. I live in the North Hills, so would prefer to stay there, but in the city is OK, too, if need be.
The Oliver Bath House on South Side looks OK -- anyone been there? Is the $45 pool tag for non-city residents good for the year?
