Like any school, it's known to have strengths and weaknesses. Point Park's rep is mostly built on dance and theatre programs, and I think I've heard something about a good journalism program (not really sure). It's definitely not thought of the same way as ITT, but rather than go on the impressions of locals I might do some research with professionals in the field you want to enter. As long as they don't think Point Park's grad program in your area of study is a joke, you're probably good.

I'd also point out that we have a TON of other colleges here, most of them quite well-respected, so don't write Pittsburgh off if you decide PP isn't for you!

Thanks for the perspective; that helps to hear from a local. I agree that I need to find some people who work in the major I am interested in (Business Management in Information Technology.)

One problem that I sadly face is that I don't quite have a 3.0 GPA (really rough time my first two years of college,) so I can't pick just any program sadly. I'm searching the US for schools that say 3.0 or above for the last 60 credits. (I have a 3.4 for my last 60 credits)

So... yeah... hence why I was considering Point Park. :)

I think Robert Morris is of a similar quality to Point Park, but better for business management and IT.

If you're applying for a masters in business, the number one factor for a lot of programs will be whether you've worked in the field. Unless you're looking to join the professoriate, or you have copious internship experience, it would likely benefit you more to work first and find somewhere that will pay for your degree while you work. The only benefit to you for going to school full-time would be the potential of a TA/RAship. Those positions are often more rare in business schools because it's assumed that students will be working, and if no one's paying you to go to grad school, it's probably not in your best interest to go.

PS, you should probably be in the applyingtograd.

Well I was asking very specifically about Park Point. That is why I came to this community specifically.
I don't see much point in putting off grad school and point part time over a course of years. Trust me, I have good reasons to do it this way. :) I'd rather pay now and then have the ability to get a great job after I'm done. I have some experience in business, technology, and other areas so school is my priority for now.
