Hey guys! I don't live here, but i'll be in pgh for a few days this weekend dealing with some family stuff, and was wondering what some of your favorite restaurants were that i could easily get to from the mount lebanon area? I read through some of the memories, but i'm not too good with the area, and don't have too much of a concept of how long it takes to travel x distance.
i'll have a car, but since i'll be with my family i don't want to drag them around too much. Normally when i'm there everyone wants to go to heavier italian restaurants (mineos comes to mind) and delis, and while all of that is fine, i'm not a huge fan of either. Can anyone recommend some good restaurants in that area with particularly fresh or creative fare? Anything is fine, really, as long as it's sit-down and not pizza based haha.
A million bonus points to you if they have decent vegan (or even vegetarian!) options.
Thanks so much!
ETA: i'm now searching around on pghveg, but was wondering which areas i should be looking in? what parts of town would take 15 minutes or less to drive to (on average, i won't hold you to it!) that i could hunt for food in?
