SongSpace Presents Luca Mundaca on May 15th

May 08, 2010 20:22

We hope you will join us on Saturday, May 15 when we welcome Brazilian singer-songwriter Luca Mundaca, with special guest Emily Pinkerton, to the SongSpace stage. “Luca’s music is a glorious blend of her native Brazil with a touch of downtown New York,“ says Tom Evered of Capitol Jazz and Classics. Christopher Maag writes of Luca “...indigenous Brazilian music forms the bones of Luca’s music. Jazz creates the muscle, and the stark honesty of modern folk and rock provides the flesh.” The velvety “Ha Dias,” from her album “Day by Day,” was honored as Best World Fusion Song at the 2008 Independent Music Awards and has propelled Luca to international acclaim.

Luca Mundaca appears at SongSpace on Saturday, May 15, 2010.

Doors open at 7pm and the show begins at 7:30pm.

Suggested donation is $15 general admission/$10 students.

SongSpace is located at First Unitarian Church of Pittsburgh, 605 Morewood Avenue, in the Shadyside section of Pittsburgh. For more information, visit our website at
