(no subject)
So I've been searching for some good restaurants in the Oakland area on Google and I'm coming up with mixed results. I was originally looking for something Indian, and was leaning towards Tamarind, but I figured I'd ask here and see if anyone had more opinions on the matter. Price generally doesn't matter a whole lot; my aunt and I aren't looking for anything super expensive or dirt cheap, but it is a dinner to celebrate my birthday and its kind of last minute, so I'm dressed in jeans and a sweater - so no place that would have a problem with those, I guess. Does anyone have any other restaurants that they really love in the area? We're also open to Shadyside or other areas close by, but since I'm down here for classes and to study, we'd rather meet around here. Sooo to summarize - something really good, moderately priced, possibly Indian, and really just someplace that you love and would like to suggest to someone who hasn't lived in Pittsburgh in five years.
