Dear Duquesne Light,
WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU SMOKING?!
I came home tonight to find a shut-off notice on my door. The odd things about this are:
1. I paid my full bill three weeks ago (a total of about $80 for two months). I am sure that everything went through, too, because I have the cleared check.
2. I received no warning that my electricity would be shut off (ie no 10-day notice and no phone calls).
3. They claim that I owe them... get this... $61. That's right. Sixty-one dollars. Last I remember from my dealings with them, they only shut off your electricity if you owe over $200.
4. Here's the kicker. I opened my door to my apartment, experimentally flicked the light switch, and... there was light! In fact, the electricity is on in my living room and my bathroom and my kitchen, but not in my bedroom.
Edit: 5. The list of reasons why my electricity may have been shut off? Nothing's checked. WTF?
Does anybody else find this all to be really, really, really, really weird? I'll call them at 8 AM to check on everything, but... WHAT THE HELL?!
