I'm looking for a reliable, thorough and reasonably priced home inspector. These are the names given to me by a real estate agent. Have any of you worked with any of these, or is there someone you would recommend? This would be for a property in Churchill. Thanks as always ( Read more... )

When we bought our house last year Malin was recommended to us. We used him and had no issues. I was really happy with the home owner's binder that he gave us that documents pretty much everything that he looks at and what he sees as its life span etc.

Hope that helps!

we used Russel Kowalik. He was so-so. There were some things that he was like "Hm, I dunno, looks ok", and we weren't too keen on that. Luckily we have contractors in the family so everything turned out ok.

we used richard malin about 2 years ago and found him to be very good. my best friend recently used him, too.

he provides a big binder of info at the end of the inspection, detailing what he looked at. i'd recommend him.

We just had a walk through with Russ from Three Rivers and he was professional, thorough, and very well prepared. He might be a bit more expensive but worth it.

Ditto about Russell Kowalik. He was extremely meticulous and professional. He will not rush you through anything and he was very upfront about it all.

I think PA is in the process of licensing home inspectors -- are any of these people licensed?
