I don't think there's anywhere in Pittsburgh that you can order a bed and get it delivered same day (though if anybody can prove me wrong, please do!), especially not on a holiday when most of their delivery staff will have been given the day off. The two places I'd recommend going for a mattress, though, would be:
1. If you care more about looks and how pretty the frame is and things like that, the Macy's downtown has a wonderful selection of beds and frames and the like.
2. If price is more your concern and you can get out there (it's possible by bus - take the 67A to the Monroeville Mall and then walk from there), there's a Mattress King or something like that across the street from the Mattress Discounters that's wonderful. Its mattresses are a wee bit more expensive than you'd expect, but then the box spring comes free, so overall you're saving a bunch

If you go the futon route, you might want to see if the IKEA in Robinson is open on July 4. The other futon stores around -- like Norka -- usually don't keep a lot of things in stock, so you have to order what you want ahead of time.
Where is Norka in relation to Swissvale? I could always order something by telephone. I need to find out if they'll be open on the 4th. I'll look 'em up. Thanks!
