A Day of Rejoicing
Today started out rocky, but improved vastly this afternoon. I ran a bunch of errans this morning/early afternoon. I bought my tickets for the MInnie Driver and Patty Griffin concerts next week (Ticketmaster is EVIL). A. and I went to pick up stuff for taxes and walked over the Centre to look at the List of Doom.
MY NAME WAS ON THE PHD LATIN PASS LIST!!!!!!!!!!!!
After two years, I have jumpled through all the Latin hoops. I'm not really sure how. I honestly don't think my Latin is that great. But, like the French exam, I will take the pass and run as fast as I can so they can't take it back. It hasn't sunk in yet. C. says it will take a few days...
I can't feel truly elated, though, because several people I care about a great deal did not get good news today. It's hard to be happy when people I love aren't. And I don't want to seem like I'm throwing it in anyone's face.
I'm shattered. Must be off to sleep.
