Alright, so here's the thing. I've been filming Oceans 13 and doing some press for Babel. I actually made it to the film festival, which I guess was a big fucking deal. I didn't make it to a certain invitation from a friend and for that I am truly sorry. I'll make it up to you, man. I promise.
As you can see from my icon, taken at said press, this is a serious film about important things. Actually I'm imitating someone, prizes I haven't made up yet to the person who knows who.
Anyway, I'm linking you to a you tube of the trailer, so you can get a better idea of it. Just go here and watch it, I'm not embedding and no, it's not just because I can't remember the coding for that.
Babel is getting words like Oscar tossed around in sentences with it, so Cate and Gael, you can probably look forward to nominations. And that sounds alot more bitter than I am. Really. I don't think I've ever chosen a role based on how I thought it would be received. This one they made me an old man, older anyway ---I'm still vain enough to think I'm not that ancient-- gray hair, crows feet around the eyes. It was a little like looking at my dad at first. That's what I think about, not is this going to get me an Oscar, because lets face it, nothing is going to do that. But rather that I look like my dad and I wonder if my mother will think so, or if having the clock turned ahead for me in the mirror in anyway influenced me outside of the mirror in decisions I made...
