[The life of your average tough-as-nails private eye isn't an easy one, especially in the seedy backdrop of a corrupt city like this. You gotta know when to get your hands a little dirty. Help a slimy politician cover up an affair here, help the wife oust her husband's cheating ways there. A good P.I. had to have steely nerves and a big broom closet, not to mention a snappy suit/fedora wardrobe. A really cool jazzy theme song didn't hurt, either. Well, Excel was one such dick. Detective. Private Investigator. Whatever. Her office/bedroom was small due to money constraints and a poor economy, but she was confident work would burst through her door any second now.

... Any second now.

... Well, maybe the phone. She'd actually paid the bill for it this month, so someone HAD to just be waiting to call, having had so much trouble contacting her prior due to the line having temporarily been disconnected.

Tap, tap, tap of fingers on the desk, our protagonist herself sitting behind it, just waiting for opportunity to call. Maybe a top-ranking official at City Hall had been murdered, maybe some hysterical dame had been kidnapped and put into a sordid underground human trafficking ring, or maybe someone just wanted someone to talk to.

... Well, that last one was already true. Still, getting work and getting PAID for it took priority over finding a partner to help keep the company in order and to exploit the tax deductions.]

[OOC: I totally had this idea before I noticed Reno's post, but I have no plot in mind yet, so anyone feel free to hire her or even set her up for a fall~]
