Don't touch that dial! Jamie's back and better than ever! After his whirlwind "Falling of the Edge of the World" Tour, he's returned. Aptly called "Wiser, Happier, and Just Plain Feelin' Good", the new cuts really cut to the heart of what's been going on recently. Of the new album, most noteably is the acid-jazz groove of "School's Out! Thank God!", the smooth lyrics and easy going style of "I Still Love Theatre", and the soft, emotional power-rock-ballad "Val's the Best". But even "Taking PRAXIS II in June So I Can Teach High School" and "MidSummer Night's Dream Opens in Two Weeks" have a nicer, gentler tone than his previous work. Unfortunately he does fall short on the desperate attempt at Swing with "Still Don't Have A Job", but really that's the only place where his music misses the mark.
Overall, a great new album. And the huanting theme of "More Updates to Come" as the final track leaves you wanting more. So what are you waiting for? Go get the record. Listen to it. You won't be sorry you did.
