I recently came across a curious article. It's called "Credit Card Deals - What Financial Secrets Does Your Partner Keep?" and describes the problems that may occur if your partner hides her or his credit troubles.
Actually for first time in my life i started to think seriousely about all this stuff - planning a budget for a couple, spending money together... Who knows what serious changes life's going to bring?.. And it's good to be prepared to them, you know)))
I think the most important conclusion that one can make after reading such article is that you have to trust your partner and tell her (or him) about your problems. Especially financial, especially if you're living and planning yor budget together. Because isn't it stupid to ruin serious relationships because of a credit card debt?..
