Turn left. Turn Right. Turn around. And around until you spin. National and political news is drumming to a roaring crescendo.
A quick solution to the banking crisis is very, very important. I become suspicious when we’re told we must pass a bill RIGHT NOW. I understand the implications this has on the global economy, but we must stop and think about what’s right for our country first. There’s potential for all sorts of “real” damage that can be affected with a knee jerk response. Including
slipping in provisions for massive funding for ACORN. More than anything, we need to consider a few options. before blindly leaping
The debate was dandy. No one changed their opinions. For lack of anything sustentative, Obama creates a gaffe by forgetting the name on a bracelet and McCain didn’t say “Middle Class.”
While the media has our attention diverted to these issues, they’ve been playing a game of smoke and mirrors. There is a “clear and present” danger to our constitutional rights and our country, and no one wants to discuss it. This issue - rightfully - scares the living daylights out of me.
The Obama campaign is attacking the very fundamental First Amendment Right to Free Speech, first here and then there, and people, believe me, if this Right gets squashed, none of the others are worth the parchment they’re written upon. Do you hear what I’m saying? We can not defend our other Rights if we can’t speak against the government. Everything hinges on this.
There is no other story out there but this, but the public apathy out there not only permits the rape to continue, but cheers the rapist.
The Quick History
Obama began the attack by trying to ban
the AIG from airing the Ayers-Obama connection on radio stations. Fortunately, the Justice Department told Obama to fight his battles legally.
Clearly the
Obama team didn’t like the televised NRA ads either, and sent out letters to TV stations requesting these not be aired. Request is probably not the right word.
Up until that point, perhaps it was easy to ignore the threat as this was Big Political Party going after BIG PAC, but at this juncture Obama ratchets up the threats to include you and me.
More outrageous was the September 23rd reports of “
Obama Truth Squads” consisting of prosecutors, sheriffs, and other elected members in Missouri who were to go out to defend the Obama campaign from misleading TV ads. Problem is, within the interview, the prosecutor indicates it’s their duty to inform the voters of lies and misconceptions. Quote from TV site accompanying video: “The Barack Obama campaign is asking Missouri law enforcement to target anyone who lies or runs a misleading TV ad during the presidential campaign.” The legal wording gets interesting, but my take on this is that anyone could be subject to prosecution.
But there’s more! Today, Michelle Malkin writes about
Obama’s refusal to allow signs or banners at a Virginia rally to be delivered at a public university on public property. All in the name of security, but that is nothing but pure sham,
the Secret Service denies security concerns. It is clear enough what his motives are. And he has a good chance of succeeding, because so far, the public hasn’t cared.
There is a letter of outrage to the editor of the
Fredericksburg Free Lance Star. The Missouri Governor published a response to the TV segment. (But fails to spell out a consequences to his state’s elected officials if they don’t desist from activities.) In the Fredericksburg editorial, there is a tiny ACLU-Virginia squeak about First Amendment Right infringement, but surprise,
nothing posted on their website expressing the rage we’ve come to expect.
WAKE UP! Obama will continue trying to slip these suppression tactics until the end. God help us all if he’s elected. This is a very, very dangerous man, and he's not going to stop until the American public stops him.
