She's Got It

I suspect Obama is going to forget he's running against McCain and allow himself to get pulled into the pit with a lipstick-wearing-pitdog.   And if that turns out to be the case, somebody needs to call an ambulance, because she's going to tear him apart and spit him back out.   Palin is out of his league and paygrade. ( But then, so is determining ( Read more... )

I first became vaguely aware of her during the "bridge to nowhere" imbroglio, then she faded from awareness for a time.

I really began to be aware of her about 2 months ago, and the more I dug, the more impressed I became. Then, when it got time for John to start looking at someone for the VP slot, my first thought was Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, and then I remembered Sarah. Both equally qualified, both dynamic, both doing wonderful things for their respective states.

Then it hit me - leave Bobby where he is for now so he can turn LA completely around, and get those folks back on their feet again (and what happened with H. Gustav pretty much vindicates that thinking), and prep him for a run in 2012, should John fall short somehow.

Meanwhile, the more I saw of Palin, the more impressed with her I became, and I started to pull for her to be picked as the VP candidate. Imagine my glee when that is exactly what happened!

Then watching her the other night when she gave her speech ... wow. Just WOW! To answer John's question, yes, you *did* pick the right one!

Now, to the point you made. Both Obama and Biden know McCain, and have the arrogance to think that since they *do* know him, that he's not much of a threat. Palin on the other hand, is a different story altogether. They've already attacked her on her "lack of experience" (and that has been roundly, and easily, refuted).

Sarah scares them spitless, and they now realize that they are in for a fight.

Sarah is awesome!

Look up awesome in the dictionary, and there she be!

Admittedly, I'd never even heard of her before the announcement. My loss. It seems the more *reasonable* people know about her, the more they love her. (There are those who will hate everything Republican, no matter what.)

You can back Bobby for 2012 or 16, but my money's on Sarah! We'll cross that bridge when we get there - cuz it ain't built yet. I'm just tickled she's where she is now and what she's doing for the election.

The more I've seen of Sarah, and the more I've thought about it, the more I'm thinking that she will be the next Republican nominee for President (either 4 or 8 years from now, depending on what happens in November), with Bobby as the VP nominee. Can you imagine what a great team *they* would make? The possibility almost makes me giddy!

I, too, am tickled with where she is, and what she brings to the table. ;)
