Weekend Update with Norm McKristof
- Wednesday night, went to Casey's for fireworks and beer. LOTS of beer. Played a few games of Beirut (incorrectly labeled beer pong by most) against Casey and Bill, partnered with Joel. Joel was DD, so I drank all of his beers. We split the games, which is amazing since I've played maybe twice and was stone drunk by the last game.
- Thursday, I went with Allie to see her friend's grave, which felt natural and was really good for her. Then, cheered her up by taking her to see Knocked Up (best date movie of the summer, I tell you what). Met up with Nick once he got back in town from his trip and spent the rest of the night watching movies, too. Shooter was good, Ghost Rider was just this side of atrocity.
- Friday, took Nick's dog to the vet (he has a bladder stone), bought groceries and made food for the bbq. Had a great time with some good friends, made a couple new ones when Casey brought RJ and Chris.
- Saturday, spent half the day driving to and from Grand Rapids to pick up Nick's brother Maurice from camp and visiting his other brother Matt. Watched most of The Guardian (decent, but I still hate Costner) until I fell asleep for a little bit. Allie came over, we made dinner and watched Gridiron Gang, which was a good flick. Pretty soon, I'll be heading off to sleep.
I still have no idea what's going on tomorrow. Meghan (not the one from Taylor) and I are talking again, Tara and I have a strange friendship going on, Becca's getting better at being sociable due to her new meds, I have a new found appreciation for Nick's friendship, and I am incredibly happy with life right now.
