worst audition ever!
Sooo I just gave the single worst audition of my life...it was bound to happen sometime...just why now?
The first glimpse that the Rep gets of me its a disaster.
So I go in talk the pianist...he doesnt seem like he is listening. I was setting a tempo to the beginning and he isnt listening, but is talking about another piece of the music and trying to figure it out. So I go there...there were no words, it was just piano. So I go to the words before it and set the tempo...which is the same from the beggining. I tell him that I was going to be pushing to tempo a hair and he says ok.
Now its time for me to sing. I start...I go off the tempo I set...and I keep going. I dont stop. He on the other hand plays something else. I dont know what it was...it seriously didnt even sound like my song. I practiced last night with a girl and I could hear it and I could feel it and it sounded right, I really felt good about it. For some reason I couldnt hear it, the tempo I was going at wasnt being played and I finished a good measure or two before him.
I was a little ticked. But I hate blaming the pianist. I really do. I didnt want to leave blaming someone else. But I really do think that if I would have sang by myself I would have been perfectly fine.
The girl that came out after me said the same thing happend to her.
Whatever...shit happens. You cant win all of them! But it really sucks when you dont. I pretty sure I most deffinately didnt get a call back. oh well!
