please remove everything that's not me (breast cancer awareness)

Had a nice good cry just now when 'Pink' by Carbon Leaf came up on shuffle. I wasn't too familiar with the song until now (it's play-count is only 2), but when I saw them live last year, Barry explained where the song came from, about a fan of theirs who had breast cancer, was fighting to get through it. I'm not sure of the specifics, but it was a nice song, powerful, and listening to it now really affected me.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and it's really right for us to be aware.

For anyone who's ever lost anyone to Breast Cancer.
For anyone who knows someone who lived through Breast Cancer.
For anyone who has breasts!

Please, check yourself. Self-breast exams. Know the facts. Get checked out.

Because for all the people who've died, there are people out there who will survive.

I only have to say Fani's name in my head and it still sends me over the edge, even two years later. I'll never stop missing my second mother, never stop remembering her.

Please, ladies. Check your boobs.

Carbon Leaf: PINK

(the actual recording from when Carbon Leaf played the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor, the one I went to.)
