Interesting. Though my preference tends toward the musician who gave them their name- Tim Buckley. This guy has a little of Jeff Buckley's delivery in his voice though. Hmm.

(thunderemerald warned you about me and Tim Buckley, didn't she? It wouldn't be very nice of her if you were walking into this blind. ;D )

...i don't think I've ever heard of Tim Buckley. I do like Jeff Buckley though. The song 'Grace' is one of my favorite songs, by anyone, period. If I ever make a movie, that's going to be my end-of-movie and credits song.

Grace is an excellent song, and an excellent album, too. :)

Tim Buckley is Jeff's father (surprise, surprise!). He's relatively unknown, but oh my god- such an amazing singer. He's a far better vocalist than Jeff, actually, and his work is much more diverse. Though I probably ought to stop myself now, else I'll launch into the Abridged Life and Musicology of Tim Buckley... I do that at the drop of a hat. ;)

If you're interested, I'd be happy to upload some of his music for you. I'm always game for converting another Buckley fan! :D

ooh. that would be rad if you would do that. I'm just about to run out for a late night rehersal with my scene partner, but I'll be around after. Send me your very favorite songs, and I'll let you know if I'm hooked.

also, I put up another song that I really like in this post. ch-ch-check it out!

Okay, but remember- you asked! ;D

I'ma give you some really cool musics here, but this is by no means definitive. Just some of my favorites, and a few that I feel are among his best. You'll notice that the styles will vary greatly.

In no particular order...

I Never Asked To Be Your Mountain
Strange Feelin'
Sing A Song For You
The River
Chase the Blues Away (take 3- demo)
Phantasmagoria In Two (live)
Song To the Siren (live performance)
Hong Kong Bar
Wayfaring Stranger/You Got Me Runnin' (live) (big file, sorry- over thirteen minutes of music)
I Woke Up (from the album that gave Starsailor their name! This one's a little unusual... everything on that album is very experimental. But I really love it!)

And I promise I will give a listen to the other song you put up tomorrow morning. It's just already crazy late for me, and I've got to get to bed! (damn Photoshop, eats my night every time I open it...) Hope you enjoy these!! <3
