I survived. From Minneapolis, Minnesota and back!
I recall the CEO telling me that this position would be trial by fire. And honestly it has been sort of slow until the past two weeks. Since then, not only have I helped complete a test apparatus from the ground-up, I went on my first business trip.
This doubled as my first trip to the airport by myself. I was always so nervous about missing my flight or getting lost or something ridiculous. Fortunately for me, this was not the case. I did however forget to unpack one of my Swiss army knives, so that was a total loss. This startled me more than ever, but now looking back, this presents an opportunity for me to purchase a new one.
The trip could not have been planned any better, I was picked up from a shuttle from the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport and taken to my hotel, which conveniently the conference was held daily. It was also a perk that the hotel was right across the street from the Mall of America, which was pretty cool to check out.
I made sure to spend my nights well and I did so with the company of other attendants of the class. I would have to say this, as well, was one of my first real networking experiences. I instantly built report with the people I was sitting near, people who were also from the south (not many), and also the people whom introduced themselves to me.
The class ended with a few exams, all of which I completed and passed.
I leave you here with my favorite picture taken throughout the trip. I cannot wait to return to Minneapolis.
