Wow, I don't think I've written in this since I've been in college. So here we go, let's try to catch things up.
I got accepted to Georgia Southern, the one and only college I even applied to. I guess I got lucky. I plan on majoring in engineering. Southern is really one of the only schools I know of and have had heard good things about in the field of engineering that I could make it into. I couldn't get into GA Tech just yet. The program Southern has though connects with GA Tech, so I'm in the right path. It's all up to me now.
College is a crazy experience. I knew a lot of people going down here from my high shcool. I don't think I hang out with them that much though. I went with a random roomate for the experience. His name is Blake. He's all the way from New Hampshire. He's quite a character. He can be annoying at times.. But he is fun to hang out with. I would rather room with a crazy fun guy than all of the other dweebs I got in my hall. Speaking of hall. My hall, or dorm, is the oldest one and they're actually taking it down and building a bigger and better one.
I've met a bunch of new people down here. I'm glad how that worked out. I thought it would be a hard thing saying goodbye to all my friends. It's not soo bad as I thought it would be. But the thing is that true friends never let you say goodbye.
So school is going alright. 1st semester I came out with A,B,B,C,D. Not so hot. The D was crap. My language arts teacher was 87 years old, sexist, and picked her favorites. From first semester I learned that it's important to go to classes. It's important to pick out your teachers carefully, via ratemyprofessor.com, it's important to pay attention to what time and days you pick your classes (never take 8AMs). This semester I'm taking Precal, Lit 1101, Chemistry, and Engineering Graphics. I got to kick ass; failure is not an option.
A few things I may have left out over the time being. Tony joined the Navy. He just recently graduated boot camp from up in Illinois. Adyson and Bryan joined the Marines. Bryan joined the Marine Core Band and I think he wants to do something with Air Traffic Control. Adyson wants to join the infantry. I'm pretty sure he will be deployed to Falusha (sp) by August. Andrew joined the Army. He's going to N. Georgia and I think he's doing some program to fast forward him through the ranks.
