hi there.
i went to target today to use up the gift card my brother had gotten me for christmas and i realized that everyone in this god-forsaken city of columbus is always in a hurry. people wait to turn into the parking lot and everyone behind them starts honkin' away... jesus, can't people just wait two minutes?
hah, i just noticed one of the lady-librarians has a mullet... that rocks.
well, i'm almost through with salinger's 'raise the roofbeam higher, carpenters / seymour: an introduction' and i must say that i never want to stop reading his writing. 'franny and zooey' was great; 'catcher in the rye', awesome; his short stories ('nine stories') that i read were entertaining as well('teddy' probably my favorite of the nine)!
i also took out a book by douglas coupland per alex's request... although i haven't started reading it yet... i hope she's right about him.
any other suggestions for good books? i'm open to almost anything... especially dry humor :)
i hope these stupid people who responded to my posting for my apartment on craigslist call to set up a time to come and visit... only one of the near ten people that responded have actually gotten back to me. one, however, wrote an e-mail telling me that she wouldn't want to deal with university apartments ever again, calling the ladies in the office "pitbulls". lollerskates.
good-bye.
