a brief summary!
what a mad and crazy term.
firstly, the school was under serious threat of being amalgamated with the Minster College. the reaction was sheer horror and dismay. luckily after much campaigning, we have with held the plans for another 4 years (by which time i will have moved!)
since november, we had been rehearsing Oklahoma! At fisrt i was really not blown away by teh idea of such an old musical which to be honest, did not interest the kids. however, as rehearsals developed, we all began to thoroghly enjoy teh whole musical and we performed in March with huge success. i was tres proud of the kids and myself for not having a nervous breakdown.
we also got to perform a selection of songs for teh re-opening of teh humanities block. i had to give a little speech to important members of the local school world.
the easter hols have been very welcomed, and ive been catching up with a lot of wonderful friends. miss you all!! i have done much bowling the last few days and amazed myself at my skills at teh driving range. white cropped trews and yellow jumper here i come...........
next term is a biggie. im very scared! sats, gcse's, final reports (of me!) and lots of marking. (ooh i've also been talent spotted to play mrs elvstead in hedda gabler but have turned them down due to work - i really would have a breakdown then!!!)
