Water warning in Vancouver
No tap water available for us yet. As if we were in a war scenary, there were hundreds of people lined up since 4am in front of Costco to get some water.
The City issued a water warning: no tap water is safe for consumption because of the rains last Friday wich screwed the reservoirs. Apparently that water (which was kind of brown by Fri morning) has too many germs because our lovely government didn't take care of the resevoirs. They said that by 2008 we may have some filtering system over there.
By now we have to wait until they put the warning off... and hope to not get into a fight with other people in order to get some bottled water, as it happened at Costco (they had even to call the police)....
Funny thing is: people fighting for bottled water while is pouring rain outside..figure out that I just need to put my bucket outside on my balcony and get clean and fresh water..who knows, anyway?
