Well it's been a week since I made it back from my Dallas trip and I'm FINALLY finding a minute to sit down and update! It's been quite a busy month for me, I must say.
My trip to Dallas was very good. Every time I've been down there in the last few years I've felt very well loved by my friends. I miss it a great deal, and of course everyone tried to convince me to move back, but that's not something that's on the table at this point.
I'm absolutely terrible about taking pictures so I only ended up with a few. The first night I was in town I went and had a girl's night with my friends Sunny and Krissy, both of whom I've known for over twenty years now. We don't really talk on a regular basis but I love spending time with them whenever I make it down there, and I'm always trying to convince them to come and visit up here, but who knows if they ever will.
We went out to a couple of different bars but I left pretty early because I was dead tired after being up all night traveling.
My second night there, after I was a bit more rested, my friend Jim and I went downtown to go to the Legendary Pink Dots concert. I had an absolutely fantastic time! I knew that it was the perfect place for me to go if I wanted to run into people that I know, and that was certainly true! The only problem, that I didn't consider beforehand, was that I ran into several people that I know, but that I didn't want to see again under any circumstances! I was polite though, of course, just said hi and went on my way.
The weather was absolutely beautiful, and we got to the show early, so we were able to get one of these patio tables and just hang out in the open air all night long. It was very nice because it did get quite crowded and I was glad for a place to sit and drink my margaritas.
The bar is located on a very busy street downtown and the patio was right against the sidewalk so I had entertainment all night long by watching everyone passing by.
