(no subject)
This week all of a sudden I'm being asked to do all this stuff being apart of the social committee. The honest truth is I thought i wasn't on it anymore because the other girl hasn't been talking to me. It's been 5 months and barely 2 sentences have been said to me. Still flabergasted by the behavior, but I've moved on. So we had 2 high school students doing various jobs around the lab for the summer and tomorrow is their last day. I was asked to start organizing for an impromptu pizza party to say bye and thanks to them. Suddenly this girl is talking to me in the staff room asking me how my trainee is doing. I was like WTF?? in my head.
Any hoo, it's been kinda eventful but yet uneventful. I'm at the point that I'm glad that I made the decision to leave the lab. Yesturday, another person was quite rude to me, the I can't believe they just did that kind. This person asked me about a specimen, I made a suggestion but wasn't quite sure if the testing area would do it and told this person to check with them first. So this person pulled the orders on th specimen and talked to the department, not getting the answer he was looking for, he came behind my back and quietly said fucking dim wit to me in my ear. The way he said it made me feel that he had called me that because I only suggested that he check with the department. I wasn't sure, I don't know everything in the lab, damn near it tho.
I'm working a 9 day stretch and tomorrow is day number 9 then we are off to Kelowna for our vacation. With all the bull crap going on at work I can not wait for my vacation. I'm hoping that it will relieve alot of stress and help me deal with it better. After the vacation I will be putting out my resumes and getting the hell out of there.
What do we have planned for our vacation?
Well I think I'm going to make myself a 4 in 1 half persian necklace, while B is golfing. Then we are going to be doing some stuff for the wedding we are attending, B is the best man. After the wedding we will be staying in Victoria for 4 days. In Victoria we will be doing a bus tour, and then we will be going on a ghost walk. After Victoria we'll be staying in Naniamo at a spa resort, where B has signed us up for a couples massage, and a glacial mud treatment. I am looking forward to the massage.
